Social Inclusion through Traditional Music: How can social inclusion be promoted through traditional music?

The Musical Living Room was a pilot project within ICH North that hosted five open music nights in the town of Jakobstad during the winter of 2025. The goal of the project was to test a concept of low-threshold activities aimed at engaging people of all ages and nationalities in making music together.

Roser Gabriel Pla, an accordion player with roots in Catalonia, Spain, was one of the workshop leaders. In this webinar, she will share her reflections on the planning and execution of the Musical Living Room.
